Away We Go: a Great Movie for Expectant Parents

Away We Go is a perfect movie for slightly irreverent thirtysomethings embarking on the adventure parenthood. John Krasinski (Jim from The Office) and Maya Rudolph (from Saturday Night Live) are a couple who just found out they are unexpectedly having a baby, and start visiting friends and family around the US to decide where to move and raise their child.

The couples they visit span the parenting spectrum and will remind you of parents in your life. Maggie Gyllenhaal plays the intense mom who passionately advocates breast feeding (past 2 years old), co-sleeping, and detests strollers -- "Why would I want to push my child away from me?"

The movie has wide appeal and provides a fun, unconventional look at parenthood from a couple who least expects it.
