"I think she doesn't get sarcasm yet"

Tonight Lucy is being really talkative. She's saying all sorts of things and being pretty loud and has been going for about a half hour now non stop.

Then she made a bit of a "frown/smile" face. Nikki looked at her and did a sarcastic frown back and said to me "I keep making this face at her, but I think she doesn't get sarcasm yet."

We can barely wait for her to be big enough to throw around and for her to start expressing real ideas to us with signs/words. Fun times.

5 Signs you've become a parent

  • Your conversations are dominated by 4 topics: feeding, poo, pee, and sleep (ok, this is cliche, but it's painfully true)
  • Euphemistic-sounding phrases like "try the reverse football" and "we really love the bikini twist" are no longer about sex positions and instead about ways to relieve gas or ways to fold your cloth diapers
  • "I was up all night!" no longer describes a work deadline nor partying but instead a fussy baby...
  • Wet t-shirts are no longer about contests, but are about spitup or a little extra lactation

Cloth diaper review: ImseVimse, GDiaper, Thirsties, Grobaby

As a followup to an earlier post on environmental and cost considerations with diaper systems - here is our current experience.

Our opinion on cloth diapers so far

We went to a cloth diaper workshop at Belly Bliss and ended up more confused by the amount of options out there. In addition to the workshop, our friends had recommended either ImseVisme covers with inserts washed by a Boulder-based diaper service or the gdiaper system, washing the inserts ourselves.
